How do sweatshops in the Past compare to Present day?

A sweatshop factory, Tazreen in Bangladesh recently caught on fire due to horrible conditions. On November 24, fire began on ground floor. A similar incident on March 25, 1911 happened. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in Lower Manhattan caught on fire. In 18 minutes, 146 people died out of 500 people.

Countries in the United States such as Los Angeles has Hispanic and Asian immigrants who work in conditions as slaves to earn money to survive. An average worker gets 18¢ an hour which was $8.44 a week in 48 hours. When slavery was going on slaves worked without pay to and follow their owners orders.
